Creepy Crawlers
Mondays, 10:00—11:30 am
Open to all 2, 3 and 4 year-olds, each session focuses on some aspect of the natural world. Children participate in age-appropriate games, crafts, stories and other activities.

Ranger Rick Club
Saturdays, 10:00—11:30 am
Open to all students in grades K through 6, each meeting focuses on some aspect of the natural world. Children enjoy age-appropriate games, crafts, hikes and other activities.

NEW: Eco-Venture! Club
Saturday, January 10, 10:00 am
CCEEC’s newest club is a fun, exciting, and educational club for boys and girls ages 11 through 15. Each month will bring a new activity, trip, or exciting adventure. Most will be outdoors. All will be loaded with fun. Hiking, climbing, wilderness survival, snowshoeing, even whitewater rafting! If you like nature and the outdoors, then this club is for YOU.

Eco-Venture! Club will meet once a month. Most meetings will take place at 10 am on the second Saturday of the month, but the date and time may vary depending on the activity. Attend the January meeting for more information.
 
Getting Started in Organic Gardening

Stretch your grocery dollars while eating fresher, healthier foods. Area resident Nancy Carlson shares what she’s learned in fifty years of organic gardening. Learn what you need to know to get growing this spring.

Caves and Caverns
Saturday, January 31, 10:00 am
Through games, activities and a craft, learn what adaptations help animals live in a cave. Children create a cave creature to take home. Suited for children ages 8 and up.

Home Tweet Home
Sunday, February 8, 1:00 - 2:00 pm

Invite wildlife to your backyard by building a nest box. The standard box for bluebirds, chickadees, wrens and deer mice is available for $8. Large boxes for kestrels, small owls, and squirrels are available for $15.
All ages welcome (bring a hammer!)
Pre-registration must be received by
February 1st, so box kits can be prepared.

Let it Snow
Saturday, February 28, 10:00 am
Dive into activities to discover just what snow is all about. Learn how to create a virtual snowflake, capture a snowflake fossil, and stay for some warm refreshments after the program. Dress warmly and wear sturdy shoes!
Suited for children ages 8 and up.

Hunter/Trapper Education

Anyone wishing to purchase a hunting or trapping license in Pennsylvania for the first time must first attend and pass such a course. Learn more and register at www.state.pa.pgc.us.

Nature Journaling
Saturday, March 28, 10:00 am
Learn how to make and use a handcrafted nature journal. Sharpen your observation skills, travel down CCEEC’s trails, and document your adventures in the woods. A $3 fee covers the cost of materials.
