Envirothon The Envirothon is about challenging our youth. One way to give them tools they need to become effective decision-makers is to have them participate in the Envirothon. The Envirothon is about teamwork, competition and winning attitudes! It isn’t always about winning….it’s about having fun and coming together to share ideas and respecting different opinions and values.  It’s about seeing how professionals tackle real life challenges and change our world for the best.  It also affords students the chance to connect with professionals in the field to better understand how their careers impact our environment. Envirothon Goals are: • to teach students about how our actions   affect our environment • involvement for each student within their community   to make a difference • encourage students’ environment sensitivity   and awareness • help students develop an understanding of    ecological systems and the connectedness these   systems have on all living things. • help students develop skills needed to become   part of the solution to the problems our world faces   2008 Carbon County Envirothon Dates May 05 - Snoops Grades 2-3 May 06- Explorers Grades 4-5 May 07 - Investigators Grades 6-8 May 8 - Scientists Grades 9-12 Rain Date: May 9
